First Night Alexandria Gives A Gift to Our Community

For over three decades, First Night Alexandria (FNA)  has been a cherished tradition—bringing families, friends, and neighbors together to ring in the New Year with music, artistry, and joy. This year, for the very first time, we are giving back in the biggest way possible: 

First Night Alexandria 2025 will be completely FREE for all!

Why? Because you —our incredible community—have supported us for 30 years, and now, it’s our turn to show our appreciation.

A Celebration for Everyone

First Night Alexandria transforms our city into a stage, where musicians, performers, and artists showcase their talents in unique and historic venues. From lively neighborhood performances to an electrifying open-air dance party, the night builds with a spectacular TWO-firework displays over the Potomac River —one at twilight that is family-inspired and another at midnight to welcome the New Year in style.

Last year, our daytime and evening celebrations were a massive hit with families and multi-generational crowds, proving that First Night is more than just a party—it’s a homegrown tradition that belongs to all of us.
