First Step Family Support Center

First Step Family Support Center’s is committed to promoting the healthy development of children and families on the north Olympic Peninsula by building family strengths.  In 2018 we expanded our mission to include the entire north Olympic Peninsula; this year we have served children and families from Forks and Neah Bay to Port Hadlock and Brinnon.  We are invested in helping parents understand how their children grow and flourish and how important the parents are in that process.  We focus on giving parents the tools, resources, and support so that their children and their family will thrive.  Last year we served 1,957 adults and approximately 3,523 children and we expect this number to have grown in 2019.  First Step provides home visiting services, maternity support services, a warm and inviting Drop In center, Kaleidoscope Play & Learn Groups and much more.   Our Parent Child Assistance Program (PCAP) works diligently with women and their families who are dealing with opioid addiction.  They function as case managers and advocates to help families go through substance abuse and live healthy lives.  2020 donations will support our community by helping us to do the good work we have been doing for over 45 years!
