Why We're Here

The mission of First Tee—Canton is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. 

What We Do

Through after-school and in-school programs, First Tee—Canton shapes the lives of young people from all walks of life by reinforcing values like integrity, respect, and perseverance through the game of golf. And it's making a difference.

• 80% of teens and alumni report that First Tee made them better students;
• 87% of alumni said their relationships with coaches were meaningful and grew stronger over time;
• 100% of participants said they transfer what they learn at First Tee—like interpersonal and self-management skills—to school;
• 52% of all First Tee program participants identify as Black, Hispanic, Asian, Native American, Pacific Islander, or Multi-Racial.
