The First Tee of Silicon Valley impacts the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. Participants learn to appreciate diversity, resolve conflicts, build confidence and set goals for their future. Programs focus on Nine Core Values – honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgment.

We provide life skills to young people at a low cost through the game of golf. We provide all the equipment needed for a beginner at all our locations - Palo Alto Muni, Moffett Field Gof Course, Rancho Del Pueblo, and Gavilan College Golf Course.

We serve boys and girls from 1st to 12th grade.  Students do not need to have any golf experience or golf equipment. Students need a pair of athletic shoes, a polo shirt and shorts or pants. In 2015, we served over 1,000 youth on the golf course and introduced the sport of golf to over 10,000 youth at schools and community events. Our programs have reached over 45,000 young people since 2005.
