Fish'n with Docs Custom Rods and Fishing

Fish'n With Docs Custom Rods & Fishing is a veteran based non-profit organization dedicated to help combat veterans struggling with PTSD, TBI and anxiety disorders through fishing. It has been my long time dream to be able to reach out to combat veterans to help them with everyday struggles. With years of dealing with my own disorders and seeking help through therapy, I might be able to help a veteran with what I have learned and help them to be ok with asking for help when they need it.

We will be taking combat veterans with combat PTSD, TBI and anxiety disorders on an all expense paid fishing weekend. We will have 1-4 veterans at each event, we will provide lodging, meals, and we will present each veteran with a custom made fishing tube, custom made fishing rod that is personalized with their name, branch of service and rank, reel, waders, tackle and supplies to take home with them. We hare hoping to be able to host 4-5 events per year. We hope that by giving the veterans the tools to be able to escape everyday struggles for even just a few hours when they need to that will help with their healing process. We also hope to form a lasting friendship with each veteran so that they can reach out anytime they need someone to talk to. We hope that by doing this we can help to reduce veteran suicides.
