Florida CraftArt (formerly Florida Craftsmen) is a statewide nonprofit organization representing Florida’s fine craft artists. Headquartered in downtown St. Petersburg, FCA IS free and open to the public seven days a week.
Our large gallery showcases and helps to support more than 250 Florida artists. Our exhibition gallery features curated shows of innovative art by international, national and local artists. Educational programming includes lectures, docent tours, workshops for adults, children, families and veterans, as well as meet-the-artists events. On May 29 to June 3, we will feature the Sacred Arts Tour of eight Tibetan Monks who will build a sand mandala in our gallery. Visit FloridaCraftArt.org for events and programming.
Founded in 1951, our mission is to grow the statewide creative economy by engaging the community and advancing Florida’s fine craft artists and their work.
The second floor of our 100-year-old building is home to Florida CraftArt’s ArtLofts: 19 artists’ studios and a meeting room called the Creative Loft. ArtLofts are open by appointment or by chance and on ArtWalk, every second Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m.
Our CraftArt Festival, held the weekend before Thanksgiving, is a two-day contemporary fine craft festival featuring over 100 nationwide artists.
Florida CraftArt is located at 501 Central Avenue in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, Florida.
