Flourish

Flourish is a non-profit organization designed to help strengthen families in the inner North County area of St. Louis, MO. Our vision is to foster an environment where children and families are optimally positioned to flourish. We operate on the components of positive social interactions, community resources, academic support, Christ-like behaviors and mental health supports. We offer several components to help reduce the equity gap.

Camp Flourish is an 8-week full day summer camp for children in grades kindergarten to eighth grade. Since its inception in 2014, Flourish has provided summer camp for nearly 1,100 children. It has always been a safe, wholesome and fun environment for them to spend their summer. 

Individual counseling is available to children during the summer program to address social and emotional needs. Youth Mental Health First Aid is a no-cost resource provided to families to help educate them on the specific mental health needs of youth. We are working diligently to expand the Community Counseling program to provide year-round services for individual and family counseling.

Flourish aims to be a stable resource in the community that will address many unmet needs that may lead to building strong children. We meet everyday needs through events like our Annual Coat Giveaway, which helps families to fulfill some of their basic needs.

Additional academic support is crucial to help districts to increase academic performance and maintain accreditation. Summer camp offers academic enrichment activities to reduce the summer slide that some students experience during the summer months. This fall, we will include academic supports through tutoring. 

Flourish aims to remain a staple resource in the inner North St. Louis County area and meet the needs of the under resourced and sometimes overlooked community. We hope to increase equity, reverence and agency through a holistic approach.
