Fly Minds aims to inspire and educate underserved youth in the community of Alexandria by offering an array of enrichment and educational programs.  Fly Minds is all about elevating and challenging young minds through hands-on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) activities led by engineering professionals.

Our 2026 activities include: After-school STEM classes at Jefferson-Houston PreK-8 IB School, our 3rd STEM Fair in June, and our summer camps at Patrick Henry and William Ramsey Recreation Centers. Children and youth get hands-on learning on how to build and navigate a drone, refine robotics systems, and engineering design.  As an added bonus the participants are exposed to guest speakers from scientists actively using the technologies they are learning.

Our participants also strengthen their social and team-building skills by developing a sense of community and belonging. Our programs are provided at no cost to the youth, therefore, we rely on your support to fuel the programs. With your support, Fly Minds can touch the lives of over 100 children throughout the year.  The funds we raise will sustain current activities and also assist in developing future curriculum such as an aviation program.

Join us in our efforts to encourage youth to Explore Their Potential!
