Lifting Up Those Who Raised Us !                                         Hi Hi Coach, it's John Smith, quarterback, class of 73. How are you doing?  Good to hear from you John.  You know I can't see well enough to drive anymore and my children work or live out of town.  It makes it hard to stay active or to get to my doctor's appointments and I tend to stay home by myself alot. Coach, call FOCUS.  They will come to your home, pick you up and either take you to an appointment or to the senior activity center where you can exercise, play cards, join the painting group and eat a hot lunch.  The activities are free and a $5.00 donation to help with the gasoline and food is all that is requested.  I volunteer there on Tuesdays.  John, this is an answer to my prayers.  I have seen the FOCUS vans but had no idea it was for active seniors.  See you next week and John, it means the World to me to be remembered by a former student.
