FOCUS Youth Network

The FOCUS Youth Network was created to bridge the gap between education and opportunity; what kids LEARN on a daily basis, and what they can DO.  We take kids from learning about music, to experiencing a musical; from learning about geography to taking a camping trip.  We believe that "providing our youth with extraordinary experiences, will produce extraordinary individuals."

Founded in 2016 by long time educator and mentor, Coach Devon Buchanan, the organization has served over 2500 youth and families through innovative programming such as culinary arts, media production, entrepreneurship, workforce development, summer camps, adventure trips, fashion shows, wellness events, volunteering, and mentorship.

Coach Devon attended high school in Delaware County, and understanding the need for youth programming in the area, partnered with a local church to open a youth center in Clifton Heights.  Through a combination of in-house programs and strategic partnerships with schools and other non-profits in the area, we have provided life-changing programs for more than 450 youth and families in Delaware County, particularly in the Southeast Delco, William Penn, and Upper Darby School Districts.

Delco Gives provides not only the opportunity for the FOCUS Youth Network to raise much needed funds for the ground level work we do, but also raise awareness about the power of combining education and recreation in a strategic way.  It's through a variety of programs that we instill skills and values that last a lifetime.  The FOCUS Youth Network helps youth to realize that all they need is a little bit of FOCUS because “Finding Ourselves Creates Unlimited Success”.
