Foothills Community Foundation (FCF) is a 27 year old 501(c) (3) organization whose mission is to provide resources and support for education, cultural enrichment and community service for all ages in the Foothills communities of Carefree, Cave Creek, North Scottsdale and North Phoenix.   We believe that for our communities to reach their potential, an investment must be made.

Historically, FCF helped provide critical investment of resources, time and vision to a variety of currently successful programs for the Foothills Community, including: Foothills Land Trust; Foothills Food Bank; Arizona Musicfest and Foothills Caring Corps.  Consistent with our mission and vision, as those organizations reached maturity, scale or ability, they moved on to be successful entities in their own right.

Currently we manage, financially support and house:  Desert Foothills Theater; Partners in Education teacher grants and student scholarships; Mind Quest lecture series; Desert Awareness educational and ecological programs, visual arts programs, The Holiday Project for disadvantaged families and we manage the Holland Community Center that serves the Foothills Community with meeting space and provides popular programs for seniors, youth and other community organizations.

FCF’s vision is to continue to be a resource, supporter and investor in programs and activities that consistently maintain and improve the quality of life in our Foothills communities.  FCF strives to fulfill this vision by working with the community-- nonprofits, community leaders and residents by identifying and facilitating resources to meet identified needs in nonprofit services and investing in efforts that make our community better.
