A Kentucky-born horse, Hank was neglected by his owner and left to starve, his basic needs unmet. After his journey of healing, rehabilitation, and retraining, Hank is now living a happy, healthy and loving life that all animals deserve. 

Through Hank’s triumph over abuse and neglect, For Hank’s Sake was born. Hank is our ambassador, our hero, and symbol of hope for all animals suffering from neglect and abandonment. Hank proves just how much is possible when the human spirit and the spirit of the horse come together.  

As a nonprofit organization, For Hank’s Sake believes strongly in giving back.  Hank is on a Mission of Love to help empower our communities and the world with hope, love, and healing.  His powerful, yet gentle presence inspires kindness and the next generation of giving. To watch a once forsaken horse now teaching lessons in giving stirs the compassion in all of us.  

The next chapter for Hank is one that has thrust him into the brightest spotlight yet—Hank is a bell ringer for The Salvation Army and their iconic Red Kettle Campaign. He is on a Mission of Love, where his softest spot is now to be revealed. Hank is full of kindness, love, and generosity. His Mission of Love was created to help inspire a global movement of kindness and giving. 

Once forsaken, Hank is now teaching people that giving is good, giving is kind, and giving is compassionate. Hank needs your help this holiday season to help those in need.  Help Hank fight hunger and homelessness during the holidays and help him brighten the season by making sure no child wakes up on Christmas morning without a gift under their tree.
