If you were to ask your parents and grandparents about childhood memories in Springfield, it is likely that they have a memory or two associated with The Zoo in Forest Park. The Zoo has a history as colorful as the collection of the Zoo’s exotic birds.

Over the last 50 years, The Zoo in Forest Park and Education Center has expanded from a smaller plot to become a 4.8 acre home to nearly 175 different animal species, both exotic and endangered.  Our mission remains the same: to promote public awareness and appreciation for indigenous and exotic animals and to provide educational programming for all ages that encourage respect for the natural environment. 

Giving Tuesday has previously been a very heartwarming and helpful way for our organization to be involved with our community and vis versa. Heading into Winter, Giving Tuesday will provide help to move forward into our Spring 2017 season. Won't you consider donating to The Zoo in Forest Park and Education Center today?
