Forever Balboa Park

Tracing our origins back to 1923, Forever Balboa Park has a long history as an advocate for Balboa Park. Our organization name reflects our ongoing commitment to the park. Forever Balboa Park is the result of a merger between the former Friends of Balboa Park and Balboa Park Conservancy.

Our Mission

To sustain, enhance, and envision Balboa Park for all visitors in partnership with the City of San Diego and in collaboration with other park organizations and the community.

Our Impact

Your giving enables:

1. Volunteers serving more than 600,000 annual visitors with information services, free tours and hospitality;
2. Volunteer Garden Stewards caring for 80% of the park's gardens;
3. New bilingual signage installation to better inform and serve all of Balboa Park’s visitors;
4. Restoration and revitalization of the Botanical Building and Gardens, including the creation of accompanying public programming;
5. The reopening of the Dorothea Laub Balboa Park Carousel after a complete structural restoration;
6. More plantings, and continued care of 800+ trees in Balboa Park’s Urban Forest;
7. Service days, internships, workforce development and training for youth.
