San Angelo Foster Closet

Our mission is to ensure that every child in foster care has access to essential clothing, and basic necessities, providing them with the dignity, comfort, and stability they deserve. We support foster families by easing the financial burden of clothing, school supplies, furniture, car seats, bicycles and other needed items.

We provide access to new or gently used clothing, which allows children to feel more confident and comfortable in their daily lives. Having essentials like clothing, shoes, and personal hygiene items helps create a sense of normalcy and stability during a tumultuous time. Receiving personalized items can make foster children feel cared for and valued, fostering a sense of belonging and self-worth.

By providing clothing and necessities, the foster closet reduces the financial burden on foster families, allowing them to focus more on providing emotional support and care. We provide immediate access to items, which is especially beneficial when children are placed in a home on short notice.

We strive to increase awareness about the needs of children in the foster care system, to provide volunteer opportunities, and to build a network of support for foster families and children.
