Foundation for Childhood Pancreatitis

Pancreatitis is a serious and complex condition that causes immense suffering and affects the quality-of-life and mental health of those affected by pancreatitis.  It often goes undiagnosed in children as they are unable to fully express what they are feeling. The severity of their pain, nausea, and fatigue is often overlooked as the flu, constipation, food allergies and more.

In addition, children with pancreatitis (diagnosed and undiagnosed)often miss several days of school a month. This can bring about financial hardship for families. Missing events and living in a constant unknown regarding the next emergency room visit and the constant pain is challenging and stressful for parents and children and they are in a constant holding pattern.

Unfortunately, there is no cure for pancreatitis and the treatment options are limited.

For this reason,  the Foundation for Childhood Pancreatitis focuses on families and children suffering from pancreatitis by offering support to parents and caregivers through one-on-one connection
