Support Children's Discovery Spaces!

Children need toys, games, and puzzles to play and to LEARN!   As young children "play" in our Libraries, they don't realize that they are also LEARNING!   Your 2016 Give2Lincoln gift will support Lincoln City Libraries' Children Discovery Spaces.

Lincoln City Libraries have special areas reserved for children where they can read books, stage a play with the Puppet Theater, play with toys, build puzzles, and so much more!  The good news is that these spaces and the toys, books, and puppets are heavily used.  This then leads to the "bad news."  These items wear out and need to be replaced frequently.  The other good news is that new toys are created and new books are written, so new items need to be purchased to enhance the learning opportunities for Lincoln's children.

Your help is critical in Lincoln City Libraries' ability to remain a vital component in our children's educational journey.  Research has proven that Libraries are important tools in the process of preparing children for school.  Research has also proven that children who develop language and literacy skills early in their lives achieve greater results in school, helping them to learn to talk, read, and write.  Lincoln City Libraries continues to grow and enhance their literacy services to create developmentally appropriate programs.

All gifts are greatly appreciated!  Whether your gift of $10 buys a book or your gift of $3,000 buys a new children's computer for your favorite library, Lincoln's children will benefit and our community prospers as well.  Educated children lead to an educated workforce, which leads to a more dynamic community, and the cycle continues.  Thanks for helping to make this possible!
