As 2016 draws to a close, the Franklin County Humane Society will have accepted over 1800 dogs and cats at the shelter. Thanks to the efforts of our manager, staff and volunteers over 1400 will be re-homed or reunited with their owners. And when all told, 95% of our dogs will be adopted out, rescued or reunited.

The FCHS TNR program will spay/neuter approximately 500 community cats, saving countless unwanted kitten births and contributing toward reducing the homeless feline population in Franklin County.

Because of our commitment to saving the most lives we possibly can, and because of the large number of animals in our care, we need your support more than ever.   In addition to the animals we anticipate taking in and caring for in the coming year, 2017 will be a year of planning for a new shelter near Capital View Park!  Exciting times are ahead!

Thank you so much for your support for FCHS. With your continued support, we can keep creating a brighter future for the homeless dogs and cats in our community.
