FRANKLIN COUNTY WOMEN and FAMILY SHELTER INC

The Franklin County Women and Family Shelter (FCWFS) is more than just a homeless shelter for women, children and families.  FCWFS is an agency that invests in women and children. FCWFS provides a place to live, a place to grow, and a place to become. The Shelter helps stabilize mental and physical health conditions, promotes self-awareness and teaches financial and problem solving skills. FCWS is a place where women and families can recover, rebuild, and achieve. FCWFS believes that an investment in women and families is an investment with endless returns. 

In 2015, FCWFS assisted over 700 individuals through in-house shelter, emergency shelter, Rapid Re-Housing, prevention services and food assistance.  FCWFS also provided assistance to 813 individuals through information and referrals.  

In 2015, FCWFS expanded our mission from women's services to family services, with the inception of our new family shelter unit.  FCWFS now has the capacity to house 21 individuals, and has already served 113 clients in 2016.
