Fremont Arts Council

A nonprofit organization

Mission

The Fremont Arts Council engages community in cultivating the spirit of celebration where everyone is an artist.

We produce The Fremont Solstice Parade & Celebration, and other celebration arts events and workshops throughout the year.

Description

The Fremont Arts Council, a 501(c)3, fuels art that builds a stronger community through year-round celebrations. Together, we create a sense of place, where everyone can be an artist.

The FAC produces the unique Fremont Solstice Parade, in which the floats are people-powered (no motorized vehicles), and the participants use no words or logos to create their artful storytelling.

We care for public art, and our signature installation, the Fremont Troll, is a Seattle Icon recognized throughout the world.

We are the producers of The Fremont Solstice Parade & Celebration, May Day, Luminata, Troll-o-Ween, and Feast of the Winter Solstice.

We also manage the Powerhouse, our community arts space where artists can collaborate on projects, where we hold workshop classes, and where we bring the Fremont Solstice Parade to life!
