Foundation for Regional Transit

Several years ago, Caltrain threatened to cut service by nearly 50%. Even though ridership has been skyrocketing, the system lacks stable funding. Thousands of transit riders and supporters joined forces to prevent catastrophic cuts, and now the system is on the verge of going electric.  But the funding problem still isn't solved.  Meanwhile, the region is seeing major change, with places evolving to be more walkable and transit-friendly. Friends of Caltrain keeps thousands of people informed with ways to take action to support transit funding, modernization, integration, and sustainable transportation policies.
