Carondelet Park has been a cherished part of St. Louis since 1875, serving as a haven for nature lovers, families, and neighbors looking to connect. As the city’s third-largest park, its 180 acres offer scenic lakes, rolling hills, and treasured green spaces that have hosted generations of community gatherings, outdoor adventures, and local traditions.

Friends of Carondelet Park is dedicated to preserving and enhancing this historic gem, ensuring it remains a vibrant, welcoming space for all.

Next year marks the 150th anniversary of Carondelet Park—a milestone we are celebrating with a series of beautification and restoration projects. In honor of this historic occasion, we will focus on renovating the bird habitat, revitalizing the park’s entranceways with sustainable, low-maintenance landscaping, and restoring the native understory by removing invasive species.
