Friends of Freedom Park, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, supports the programs and operations of the Great River Road Visitor and Learning Center (GRRVLC) located in Prescott, WI, at the confluence of the mighty Mississippi and Wild and Scenic St. Croix rivers and the northern gateway to the Wisconsin Great River Road.

The mission of the GRRVLC is to inspire community generosity to safeguard this extraordinarily scenic site at the confluence of two great rivers as we teach generations about the natural and human history of the confluence area created by the Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers.  The GRRVLC programs include public programs, school programs, changing art exhibits, visitor education about the confluence area, and the Great Rivers Confluence Project.

The GRRVLC is a National Park Service Partner site, an Audubon Birding site on the Great River Road Birding Trail, and a Watchable Wildlife Site.

Your tax deductible donations support our exciting environmental and cultural education programs that spark curiosity, spur creativity, and deepen our understanding and enjoyment of the history, culture and natural resources of the Confluence region.

Over 250,000 people have visited the Great River Road Visitor and Learning Center AND Freedom Park since 2006, when the learning center opened and the amenities of Freedom Park were greatly enhanced through a National Scenic Byways grant and a $500,000 local match through the Prescott Foundation.

We need your support to continue providing the unique experiences visitors from around the world and families in the local community alike have come to appreciate. Thank you for partnering with us to protect the rivers and promote enjoyment of the tremendous natural resource we treasure here at the confluence!
