Friends of Greenfield Recreation Inc

The Friends of Greenfield Recreation actively supports the Greenfield Recreation Department’s mission to enrich the lives of the residents of Greenfield by providing safe, welcoming parks and recreation facilities and affordable, diverse recreation and cultural opportunities for people of all ages to play, learn, and build community.

Imagine: Kids laughing as they zoom down a slide at their school’s new playground. The pride in the eyes of a child hitting their first baseball. The satisfaction on the face of a triathlete finishing their first race. A smile stretching ear to ear of a child heading to camp each day. The amazement of a crowd of people as they watch fireworks explode over the iconic Poet’s Seat Tower. These aren’t just visions, they are reality in Greenfield, a Playful City, USA,   thanks to the hard work of the Recreation Department.

Winter Carnival, Community Fireworks, Summer Camps, Youth Sport Programs,  Hillside Block Party, Energy Park Concerts, the Green River Swimming & Recreation Area,  the Greenfield Lightlife Triathlon, the Riverside Blues & BBQ Festival, and Halloween- all put on by the Recreation Department with no town funding besides operational  salary. The Recreation Department is able to do so much for the community, with so little town funding.

The Friends of Greenfield Recreation are able to help financially support all of these great programs thanks to community donors like you. Together, we can do more. More programs, more park upgrades, more exciting events, and more of making Greenfield a great place to call home.  We create community through people, parks, and programs.
