Friends of Jackson County Conservation

A nonprofit organization

$2,155 raised by 14 donors

Friends of Jackson County Conservation brings people together through educational and recreational opportunities in partnership with the Jackson County Conservation Board and inspires people to understand and care for our environment.

Friends was organized in 2000 and members serve as volunteers for various programs and projects as well as raise funds for exhibits, conservation related projects, educational materials for programs and more.

Friends has been instrumental in helping raise the funds for the Hurstville Interpretive Center (2004), Prairie Creek Pavilion (2017), and Solar Array (2021).

Long-term support from an endowment will allow the Friends to continue enhancing county parks and providing educational opportunities for our neighbors to learn about and enjoy our natural resources. Support from a community that sees the value in this work allows us to continue improving our County parks. Building our endowment will provide the Friends of Jackson County Conservation with a perpetual source of funds, ensuring our beautiful natural environment continues to thrive.
