With your help, Montclair High School Crew offers students a chance to participate in the beautiful, thrilling sport of rowing. Most of our rowers and coxswains come to the team without prior rowing experience, yet the training and support they receive enables them to become champions

Montclair had a record-breaking season in 2018: The Montclair boys and girls varsity eights both won State Championships for the second year in a row -- an unprecedented accomplishment in New Jersey scholastic rowing. Montclair is one of the few New Jersey public schools to have a team -- and one of a few public schools in the country to compete at the highest scholastic levels, nationally and internationally. Montclair rowers medaled at the US Nationals in California and the World Junior Championships in 

The benefits of crew to student athletes are enormous. Montclair’s team highlights include 46 state championships, 30 Philadelphia City championships, 17 titles at the prestigious Stotesbury Cup Regatta, and 6 national titles. The combination of athletic and academic accomplishments have propelled Montclair rowers to be recruited and to benefit from collegiate rowing careers at Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Cal-Berkeley, Washington, MIT, Georgetown, Cornell, UCLA, Brown, Bucknell, Lehigh, Princeton, U Penn, Wisconsin, among many prestigious schools and collegiate rowing teams.
