Friends of Northampton Trails

Trails and greenways provide recreation and transportation opportunities for area residents and tourists.

Friends of Northampton Trails works in cooperation with city and town departments, other groups, and area businesses to:

• Promote and support planning, proper use, development, and care of the trails
• Conduct events and activities that engage the community with the trail system
• Assist in trail maintenance and beautification

Since our founding in 2006, FNT has raised more than $55,000 to help support trail design, construction, and improvements.

Your contributions help in furthering our mission and funding future projects. They are especially valuable in supporting the engineering design work that needs to be done before submitting formal applications for grants. Also, as it is difficult to determine the precise cost of a project in advance, having a small amount of unrestricted funds available to cover overruns makes it possible to spend every penny of the grants received.

All new donors will automatically become Members of FNTG, and will receive our newsletter, invitations to special events, and bulletins about new developments along the trail, AND a copy of the map and brochure "Exploring the Rail Trails of Northampton and Easthampton".
