Friends of Osceola Area Ambulance Service Ltd

Friends of Osceola Area Ambulance Service Ltd. is organized exclusively for charitable purposes including, for such purpose, the making of distributions to Osceola Area Ambulance Service to lessen the burdens of government for the vested municipalities: Villages of Osceola and Dresser and Towns of Osceola, Farmington, and Alden. We provide fundraising events and opportunities to provide charitable financial relief to the vested municipalities.

No part of the net earnings of Friends of Osceola Area Ambulance Service Ltd. shall inure to the benefit of, or be distributable to its members, trustees, officers, or other private persons, except that the corporation shall be authorized and empowered to pay reasonable compensation for services rendered and to make payments and distributions in furtherance of the purposes set forth in the purpose clause hereof.

Municipal owned ambulance service departments, are recognized burdens of government, and it is the purpose of Friends of Osceola Area Ambulance Service Ltd. organization to serve public interests and lessen such burdens. It is the intent of Friends of Osceola Area Ambulance Service Ltd. to promote social welfare through our charitable contributions for the common good and general welfare of the community in which we serve.

Our purpose is not to supplement the annual budget put forth by the municipality represented governing board of directors for the Osceola Area Ambulance Service. We are rather a charitable organization only trying to offset or supplement the costs of needed or wanted equipment, as well as personal emergency medical safety equipment, not covered in the Osceola Area Ambulance Service annual budget as set by the governing board.

To maximize our impact on current efforts, we may seek to collaborate with other non-profit organizations that are operated exclusively for charitable purposes.
