Friends of Taghyeer Movement

The Friends of Taghyeer Movement in the US seeks your involvement and support for the Taghyeer (Change) Palestinian National Nonviolence Movement,  a movement of grassroots communities and emerging leaders practicing nonviolence as a unifying identity for the Palestinian people.

Building on his personal journey of struggle, Ali Abu Awwad joined with organizers Riyad Halees and Raed Hadar to found Taghyeer Movement -- nonviolence in action to bring together Palestinian activists, emerging leaders and communities to take cooperative responsibility for social self-development and resistance to occupation. These Messengers of Change embrace nonviolent identity as fundamental for building Palestinian strength that turns resistance into conflict transformation, and then peace building that can bring equal rights and freedom.

What Do the Messengers of Change Do?

1. They are the carriers of the Taghyeer philosophy into Palestinian civil society who --
2. Recruit new volunteers and members into the movement,
3. Prepare and offer leadership and community training,
4. Organize community meetings to understand priorities for self-development,
5. Develop action plans and projects to meet community challenges and needs, and
6. Respond to crisis.

Taghyeer believes that transformative movements are built by grassroots communities taking responsibility for their future. Your donations are instrumental in helping do just that.
