For 105 years, Historic Tampa Union Station in Downtown Tampa has been a landmark for Tampa residents and visitors alike.
It's the Tampa Bay area's last active train station, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, a City of Tampa Landmark, and on the National Register of Historic Railroad Landmarks.
Tampa Union Station is still very much an active train station today, but it much more. Here you can walk in the footsteps of famous figures like Mickey Mantle and Gary Cooper. And it's played a role in joyous reunions, family vacations, honeymoons, departures for college and happy returns home.
But like any historic structure, the building requires lots of care and upkeep. The Friends and its endowment fund for the station help preserve this historic structure for the future.
