Friends of the Animal Center Foundation

In 1999, three animal lovers recognized a need for more money at the Iowa City Animal Center. Being a municipal facility they have a small city budget to operate. The Friends of the Animal Center Foundation was established to fund the needed programs at the Animal Center. The funding currently assists in the medical needs above and beyond, dog training, foster supplies, microchip clinics, humane educaiton and community outreach, a barn cat program, and the volunteer program.

Because of donors like you many animals get a second chance at life, and they are adopted into loving homes. Friends of the Animal Center Foundation's funding has assisted in decreasign the euthanasia rate, and its has increased the adoption rate.
