$365 raised by 10 donors

Yes, the story is true:  Buffalo Bill Cody DID sleep here!

Saved from demolition in the mid-1970s, The Bishops' House was moved from near St. Luke's near downtown Boise.   Cut apart for the move, it's sandstone foundation carefully numbered for reassembly, The Bishops' House came to rest right by The Old Penitentiary.  It remains an Old Boise landmark 125 years later.

The Bishops' House was built as home for the head of the Episcopal Diocese of Idaho in 1889.  Six men  lived here with their families in succession over 90 years.

The House is is funded by event rentals, public and private, fundraising by The Friends of The Bishops' House, and by donations.

During the life of The Bishops' House, whole generations have passed away, and the need to make new friends and sustain the home continues.  This historic home needs people who care about local history to preserve this piece of the past for present and future generations.

Your donation will helo continue our mission, keeping this treasure well-cared for, and open for people of all ages to enjoy.
