📚 Support the Columbia County Traveling Library – The Library on Wheels! 🚐

Did you know? The Columbia County Traveling Library is one of the only libraries in the country where a bookmobile is the main library! We’re on a mission to serve rural communities across Columbia County, ensuring everyone has access to books, stories, and lifelong learning.

In 2026, we’re proud to be growing stronger than ever—with expanded services, deeper partnerships, and a brand-new branch location.

Here’s how we’re making a difference:

📖 40+ Stops Every Two Weeks
Bringing books and resources to Benton, Millville, Mifflinville, Lime Ridge, Catawissa, Numidia, and beyond.

🏫 Expanded School Outreach
Reaching more students through increased programming at area school districts, including our newest stop at Columbia Montour Vo-Tech.

👶 Stories for Over 600 Kids
Sharing the magic of reading at daycares, preschools, and schools throughout the county.

🎧 Books for Seniors
Delivering large print books and audiobooks to help seniors stay connected and engaged.

🌐 100,000+ Resources
Through strong partnerships with Bloomsburg Public Library and Orangeville Public Library, we provide free access to books, eBooks, audiobooks, DVDs, and shared programming for our community.

🏛️ New in 2025: Expanded Catawissa Branch
With the opening of our new Catawissa Branch, we’re expanding access to library services, programs, and resources for even more families.

We Need YOUR Help to Keep Our Library Rolling!

Our goal is to raise $60,000 this year to support vital library services, new programs, and expanded partnerships. Government funding covers only a portion of what it takes to fuel the bookmobile, purchase books, and bring learning opportunities to our neighbors.

Your donation makes a real impact:

💜 $25 – Buys 1–2 new picture books for children
💜 $50 – Supports large print and audiobooks for seniors
💜 $100 – Helps fuel the bookmobile for another stop
💜 $500 – Funds free community programs like storytimes, STEAM activities, and school outreach

With your contribution, you’ll become a Friend of the Traveling Library and receive special perks, including early shopping at our April Book Sale. For more information visit, www.travelinglibrary.org/book-sale

🌟 Let’s Keep Our Library on the Move! 🌟

100% of your gift goes directly toward buying books, offering programs, and serving our community. Last year we purchased over 1,000 new titles for the library and welcomed over 6,000 people to programs across the County.

📍 Our mobile library service across the county
📍 Our central hub on Sawmill Road near Lightstreet
📍 Our branch in Benton
📍 Our new Catawissa Branch

Through shared programs, collaborative fundraisers, and community-wide initiatives, we are strengthening access to learning for residents of all ages.

Every mile the bookmobile travels, every storytime we host, and every book we place in a reader’s hands is made possible by donors and volunteers who believe in the power of libraries.
