Friends of the Falls Public Library

The Friends of the Falls Public Library is a volunteer-run nonprofit that directly supports the International Falls Public Library and their mission. Every dollar we receive goes to helping the library continue to be a center of literacy and community enrichment.

The mission of the International Falls Public Library is to be a welcoming resource center that promotes children's literacy, supports lifelong learning, and cultivates creativity to empower and encourage a connected community.

With your help,

Friends of the Library:

• Provided all Summer Reading participants with free books (up to 8 books per participant)

• Provided prizes for Winter Reading participants

• Provide funding for Teen Summer Programming, an Escape-Type Puzzle available in the library for summer 2024, and a Survival Program in 2025 based on the skills that could be learned from survival stories

• Purchased puzzles and games for in-library and at-home use

• Provided every graduating first grader a “YOU CAN READ!” book with a library card application inside

• Provided the community with a monthly opportunity to shop our used books sales, earning over $2000 in 2025

• Reworked Book Babies program to reach as many babies in the community as possible with a free book and information to the parents about the importance of reading aloud to young children

• Continued providing a free book to children through the Reading Ready program any time someone records 100 days of reading to them, up until they enter Kindergarten

• Promoted library programming and services throughout the community

• Recognized library staff
