The 229-year-old Greenfield Meetinghouse is the heart and soul of the town of Greenfield, NH. Listed on both the State and National Registers of Historic Places, the Meetinghouse is the "oldest original Meetinghouse in NH built to serve both church and state." The Friends of the Greenfield Meetinghouse is seeking to raise $10,000 from NH Gives 2021 to put toward the cost of the Architecture and and Engineering Study for the Meetinghouse renovation project, which is the first step in construction.

About the Friends
The Friends of The Greenfield Community Meetinghouse (FGCM) is an all-volunteer, grassroots non-profit organization operating in Greenfield, New Hampshire, dedicated to preserving and protecting the historic 225-year-old Greenfield Meetinghouse so that it may continue to be used and enjoyed for many generations to come. Working collaboratively with the Town of Greenfield, the FGCM will work to ensure the restoration, preservation and ongoing maintenance of the Meetinghouse by providing funding, volunteers and resources to meet our goals.
About the Meetinghouse Project
The Friends have raised and contributed over $150,000 to the  Meetinghouse project so far. In 2024, the Town of Greenfield received a $1M CDFA  Community Center Program Grant to renovate the Community room level of the Meetinghouse, which is in dire need of repairs after water damage and in need of renovations to provide accessibility.  In March 2025, the Town of Greenfield asked if the Friends could raise an additional  $25,000 to fund kitchen equipment that was recently cut from the budget. Please help us raise funds so we can get the Community Kitchen up and running again!
