Friends of the Marshall Public Library

Celebrating it's 20th Anniversary this year, The Friend's primary goal is to enrich the educational and financial resources of the Marshall Public Library through volunteer participation. Since August 1995, we have conducted book sales, donated books to several local service organizations, purchased a story hour room clock, purchased strollers for library patron usage, and provided matching grant money for a story hour book collection. Past expenditures made possible by the Friends include the Toddler Computer and I-PAD workstation in the computer area, various displays and reference materials, visiting author lectors, books for discussion groups, and many, many more extras. We recently were provided new seating throughout the Library - a huge improvement over the existing furniture- that had seen better days :) Plans are being made to start a yellow shelf community outreach program to make books more accessible in public places and have begun planning on the Book Mobile renovation - giving it new life and purpose. Your support of the Friends of the Marshall Public Library will enable the Library to purchase supplies and equipment and participate in events that fall outside the regular Library budget.
