For more than 100 years, Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, has been providing a liberal arts education for students of all ages and denominations. The University remains committed to its central core -- the arts and sciences. A broad-based education, one that truly expands the horizons and frees the mind, is our goal for every student. It is also expressed in our commitment to teaching and to the personal growth of each Friends University student. The university's Quaker heritage continues to influence its ethos and values.

Ranked as a comprehensive, Masters I university, Friends University is a progressive, private university with an enrollment of some 2,800 traditional and non-traditional students in three colleges. Friends University has developed a unique blend of a strong traditional program with that of strong nontraditional undergraduate and graduate programs for busy adults.

The Division of Fine Arts serves as the principal entity within the University for training in the visual and performing arts. Arts participation and experiences are available to all students. Through creating and experiencing art we strive to foster a collaborative and synergistic effect on our students' thinking, our campus environment and our community.
