Friends of the Stricker Ranch Inc

Our group was founded in 1985 by individuals who were interested in helping protect the Rock Creek Station and Stricker Homesite - the earliest settlement in the Magic Valley along the Oregon Trail. 

Through stimulating awareness of its history, providing guided tours to guests, and by furnishing educational and informational materials to visitors of all ages, the Friends of Stricker help the Idaho State Historical Society in their mission to preserve and promote Idaho’s cultural history.

Our volunteers are driven by their enthusiasm to share our local history with our community and with visitors from around the world, and by their desire to maintain the Site for future generations.
