Frontera Audubon Society

Our organization, a nonprofit established in 1978, serves the Rio Grande Valley Community by providing environmental education opportunities for all ages at our 15-acre urban nature park in Downtown Weslaco. Frontera Audubon is an internationally-renowned birding hotspot where visitors from nearly all fifty U.S. states, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands come to enjoy our beautiful natural resources. They stay in nearby hotels, and ultimately contribute tourism dollars to the region’s economy.
