Fundacion Manos Juntas

Fundación Manos Juntas is an initiative of Dr. Boyd Shook and his daughter Kathy McCallie. Their desire to help the poor and the underprivileged, motivated them to join efforts in solidarity to the disadvantaged with the creation of Manos Juntas. Fundación Manos Juntas started in 1995 and became officialy incorporated in 1997.

 

Fundación Manos Juntas join hands in an effort to reach a hand to those in need. Our mission include but are not limited to the following:

1. Operation of Medical Clinics in Oklahoma City and in Central America which will provide health care at no cost to the needy.
2. Serve as a vehicle for the collection and distribution of medical equipment and pharmaceutical supplies to the needy.
3. Develop and sponsor educational opportunities for talented and deserving students from Central America in order to break the cycle of poverty.
4. Promote understanding among people who are diverse in ethnic, economic, and cultural background.
5. Coordinate medical and construction mission trips to Central America.
