Fuquay-Varina Revitalization Association Inc

Fuquay-Varina Downtown is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the thriving business and residential historic districts of Fuquay-Varina, NC. We promote preservation, educate the public, support the business environment and grow our sense community.

2013 Accomplishments include:

• Received State Award for Growers Market of Fuquay-Varina!
• Awarded a $30,000 USDA Grant for the Growers Market of Fuquay-Varina!
• Designed and implemented downtown shopping and dining maps.
• Implemented Façade Grant Program – Partnership with the town of Fuquay-Varina.
• Installed Public Art in downtown districts – 3 new pieces added in 2013.
• Enhanced our downtown curb appeal with additional planters and Bistro Tables to invite outdoor seating.
• Formed Downtown Shares Meet Up Group – a great way for businesses to network and learn marketing/advertisement opportunities.
• Initiated a Historical Marker project for downtown historic buildings to promote a future historic walking tour.
• Installed (2) new Community Bulletin Boards (under glass) in the Fuquay and Varina districts to publicize local events.
• Supported the need for an 800 seat Cultural Arts Center to be located in Downtown.
• Recruited volunteers for street performances.
• Ran 11 successful events including Downtown Candy Hop, Cash for Christmas, Cash Mob, Celebration of the Arts, Chili Cook-Off, Dinner on Depot Street, Downtown Bounty, En Plein Air Paint-Off & Auction, Sleigh Rides, Small Business Saturday, and Trick or Treat in Downtown.

 

Fuquay-Varina Downtown is a member of the National and State of NC Main Street Network.
