By spring 2016, we will have planted 60 backyard gardens in this food desert, helping to reduce the food insecurity here in rural AZ.  1 in 4 children here do not know where their next meal is coming from.  We've also helped returning vets with PTSD with garden therapy.

This year we will focus much more on teaching. Residents in their 30's in Kearny, AZ have asked us not to just give them a garden, but teach all the neighbors how to build them.   They want their town to be self-sufficient with healthy organic produce for all.  

The food banks are getting less food donated and as one director said to us "teach everyone how to take care of themselves because it is getting worse."  Canning, cooking, growing food, saving seeds, preservation and many more emergency preparedness skills will be taught with your help.
