ONEgeneration-Grandparents As Parents program

The Grandparents As Parents (GAP) program at ONEgeneration offers two weekly Kinship Caregiver support groups (one in English and one in Spanish) for Grandparents and other relatives who are raising children in the Long Beach area. These support groups are held at the Long Beach Salvation Army campus. In addition to weekly support groups GAP also provides for Long Beach residents Court Navigation services, advocacy with DCFS and many other services related to juvenile dependency court. GAP also provides case management and material goods to assist Long Beach kinship families such as diapers, car seats, strollers, children's clothing and more. Long Beach Kinship families are able to participate in several family events throughout the year to meet and connect with other families throughout Los Angeles County. All services are provided free of charge.
