Grand Island Partnership for the Arts

A nonprofit organization

The mission of the Grand Island Partnership for the Arts is to enhance the quality of life in our community, inspire a passion for the arts, and elevate the economic vitality of Grand Island by facilitating the advancement of high-quality public art accessible to all residents and visitors.

The Grand Island Partnership for the Arts (GIPA) was formed in 2018 for the express purpose of promoting and installing public art in our fair city. The first project we picked is Densel's Dream, a sculpture by Mathew Placzek, a Grand Island Native. This piece is about 50 feet long, 14.5 feet tall, and 9 feet deep. It depicts the sandhill cranes flying over some natural grasses and cat tails. After this project is completed GIPA will be continuing with other public art projects far into the future of our city.
