Grand Island Dive Rescue Team

A progressive group of professionally trained and certified specialists providing water safety education and rescue and recovery in water-related accidents.

Grand Island Dive Rescue Team was founded in 1989 after the accidental drowning death of GICC instructor David L. Rombach. Members of the Team work closely with area law enforcement, Fire and Rescue Crews, communities, agencies, organizations, businesses and individuals providing highly specialized services. These services are provided in a wide variety of environments and often under dangerous conditions.
