Greater New Orleans chapter of the Society for Neuroscience, GNOSN, has 150 members from LSUHSC, Tulane, Xavier, Loyola and UNO. Our mission is to advance our understanding of the brain and the nervous system by promoting interactions among scientists in the New Orleans neuroscience community and to promote public information and general education about neuroscience research.
We organize annual GNOSN meetings and monthly graduate student and postdoctoral research seminar series. We engage the next generation of neuroscientists by community service and outreach activities and promote general education by organizing Brain Awareness Week events.
