Gainesville Pet Rescue Inc

Gainesville Pet Rescue, Inc. (GPR) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that strives to match pets and people for a lifetime.

Once an animal is rescued and taken into our program they are placed with a foster family. GPR is a no-kill shelter, so pets will stay with their foster families regardless of length of time in out program. Since its inception in 1993, thousands of animals have been placed into loving, permanent homes.

Gainesville Pet Rescue is proud to be a member and the lead agency for Maddie's Pet Rescue Project in Alachua County. We are working closely with our partner organizations to achieve a sustainable no-kill community. Together we have decreased Alachua County Animal Service's euthanasia rate by 90% since 2001. 

As a not for profit we rely on the support of our staff, dedicated fosters, committed volunteers, and generous donors. The support of our community allows us to continue to pursue our goal of becoming a no-kill community.
