Guardian ad Litem Foundation of Tampa Bay

Today in Pinellas and Pasco Counties, there are over 3,000 children in foster care—and 122 more come into care on average every month. 

When a child's future hangs in the balance, we are there.

Our Guardian ad Litem volunteer child advocates (VCA) make sure that victims of child abuse and neglect aren't alone. They stand by them for as long as it takes to reach a safe, permanent home where the child has the opportunity to thrive. Guardians ad Litem help our children heal, by connecting them to resources and services, so they can become happy, successful adults.  Children in foster care need more help than the system can provide and that is where the Foundation comes in to "fill in the gap."

We are there when a child is placed into care with nothing but the clothes on their back.

We are there to help celebrate during milestones--an 8th grade dance, a birthday, prom, or a graduation from high school.

We are there when a child has been moved 5 times and just can't keep up with their school lessons-falling further and further behind.

We work every day to meet the unique needs of every child in the Guardian ad Litem Program but we can’t do it without YOUR help. 

Guardian ad Litem volunteer child advocates stand in the gap every day for our most vulnerable children. They are changing children's stories every day-changing outcomes and changing lives.
