Galveston Symphony Orchestra

Founded in 1979, the Galveston Symphony Orchestra brings world-class live orchestral music to Galveston Island. Season 48 features eight concerts at the historic Grand 1894 Opera House: five Masterworks programs with internationally recognized soloists, three Pops spectaculars, and the world premiere of a new violin work. Our professional musicians are drawn from across the region, performing repertoire from the baroque to the contemporary.

Beyond the concert hall, the GSO invests in the next generation through free student tickets, our Summer Youth Orchestra Camp, and music education throughout Galveston.
