Garden Home Ministries

GHM provides holistic care for female victims of sexual exploitation and trafficking due to substance use coercion. We're a 501 (c) (3) Ministry-Human Service Organization focused on three areas of service: advocacy, outreach, and housing. We operationalize this mission through the Sunflower House, a certified sober living facility in partnership with WestPARR, an affiliate of the National Alliance of Recovery Residences (NARR). Referrals are from Dual Diagnosed Residential Treatment programs and correctional facilities, per discharge planning, to provide a secure home plan for women who might otherwise be unhoused. Our home provides a safe and peer-supportive recovery community.

Garden Home Ministries provides women who suffer from substance use disorder an opportunity to address their social determinants of health. Women who suffer from SUD and mental disorders are likely to be exploited and trafficked due to their vulnerabilities. Consequently, we bridge financial gaps for each resident based on their specific needs. The Sunflower House provides a safe and structured therapeutic environment that offers hope, health, and wellness.

In addition to a safe residence, we provide each resident with a physical address to receive SNAP benefits, ensuring participation in community partnerships for dental, medical, and behavioral health services, as well as access to certified recovery specialists, case management, and service coordination.

We offer peer-supported permanent housing to alleviate time-constrained pressure, enabling focused individual care and the development of recovery capital for long-term recovery.
